Opinion: The MindaNOW

I am one of the thousand children lived in the island of Mindanao, the “Land of Promise” but the real promise had been broken since then. We don’t even know other things about Mindanao, except those bombings and the home of the terrorists. I am the one to testify that Mindanao nowadays is on its way to a peaceful-loving community to the south.
There were many success stories, dramatic events, and historical happenings made Mindanao a beautiful palace. Some of the scenic places that attracted tourists were Maria Christina Falls, Lake Lanao, Lake Sebu, Dapitan, Buluan Lake, etc. Also, Mindanao had its beautiful and largest capitol in Asia, the provincial Capitol of Sultan Kudarat. These edifices really made a one step higher on its economic status.
In the field of education, Mindanao also had many different state colleges and universities that offered a quality education. Among those colleges were: Sultan Kudarat Polytechnic State College, Mindanao State University, Notre Dame of Marbel University, UP Davao, etc.
Sultan Kudarat Polytechnic State College set an example for its triumphant moment when it became the two-times National Champion during SIFE National Exposition held in the Philippines and represented the country to the World Cup at Toronto, Canada and Paris, France. These things brought a great honor to the people of Mindanao.
Many Mindanaoans, Christian and Non-Christian are now helping each other to keep the place peaceful one and discovered what other things that may uplift the island.
And now, my fellows Filipino, Mindanao is really the Land where you can commit your promises and wishes it become reality. Be positive to combat problems these made Mindanoans strong and reliant. We can achieve independence through a peaceful-right way and I believed that terrorists couldn’t terrorize their beloved land.
